Cold Stone Creamery
1. Yes, Cold Stone Creamery does represent a high performance approach to planning. They have a fun and positive approach to their franchise; however they have great expectations to achieve success. Cold Stone started with a mission: “We will make people happy around the world by selling the highest quality, most creative ice cream experience with passion, excellence, and innovation.” From the company-wide goal to the organizational goals, each one is numerically defined and measurable. So the entire purpose of their goal setting is to achieve high performance.
2. An idea of a standard plan would be more generic in regards to the goals. It covers more of a broad spectrum than those issues and plans that are more specific. A standing plan example that Cold Stone Creamery might implement would focus on the mission of the business. They state the fact is, smiling is contagious around here. You might even say we’re really in the "smiles" business.” Maintaining customer satisfaction at a high rate would seem to be something Cold Stone would keep as a long standing goal.
3. With Cold Stone Creamery it is obvious that their focus remains on the customer. So their goals and plans revolve around them. They have linked up with national charitable organizations such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation and encourage patrons to visit their local store for local outreach and fundraising.
a. Within the framework of their community involvement lies their mission for outreach. The website states - The only thing that rivals our passion for ice cream is our passion for our local communities! It’s very important to us that we give back in positive and rewarding ways — and we're talking about more than just serving up ice cream — we’re talking about getting involved, having a meaningful role in our local communities, supporting good causes, and influencing positive change.
When it comes to various other plans and goals, it falls within their mission for diversity and inclusion.
