Coke And Mentos Lab Report
Investigation:

The coke and mentos experiment is investigation of the chemical change and understanding the way substances and gases work, the experiment shows the way mentos( a hard candy) reacts with coke(soft drink), and creates a mild explosion .

It is basically the process of bubbles that are called nucleation, it is when substances form on their own to make a reaction, carbon dioxide make up the bubbles, nucleation is not very explosive when tested with mentos, the reaction is made because mentos have little openings on the surface that enables the carbon dioxide to seep in to creat a minor explosion.
The experiment is used in the real world as it imitates what a situation of carbon dioxide, nucleation and how it would react to substances.

The experiment was very helpful in learning how the chemicals do react with each other. Some chemicals change colors, some chemicals remain the same color, but bubble or precipitate, while others might no have any apparent physical change at all. All chemicals react differently to each other in different situations, lighting, temperatures and surroundings. Learning about these different chemicals was very intriguing to me and a fun experiment to do as…

Purpose: In this lab, I will observe macroscopic changes that occur when mixing together certain chemicals and household cleaners. The mixing of the chemicals provided with each other and with acid/base indicators demonstrates how matter can change, and how chemistry can be seen with the naked eye. By mixing household cleaners with an acid/base indicator I hope to demonstrate how these changes can be related to everyday life.…

This experiment was all about observing a chemical reaction. During the experiment, we made observations and possible explanations on why Copper(II)Chloride Dehydrate and Aluminum foil created a chemical reaction. The observations were made by using Copper Chloride, Aluminum foil, and Distilled water. Before the Aluminum was added into the Copper Chloride was turquoise. As we added the Aluminum the color changed to green and the water boiled. So we met the purpose of this lab.…
