My Holland quiz results are Realistic 2, Investigative 8, Artistic 5, Social 11, Enterprising 10, Conventional 12. In addition to this, my Holland code is CSE and the career suggestions I received from my test results are a business assistant and Medical and Health Information specialist. I believe working as a business assistant would be a good fit for me since I am working in a similar position and I enjoy doing clerical work for my employer. Finally, working as a Medical and Health Information specialist would not be a good fit for me since I would not be good at diagnosing patients for medical…
After the Type Focus assessment, I realized just how much I enjoy things in an orderly fashion. In my personality results I am an ISJF whom naturally focus on caring and commitment. I normally like to be on my own when completing most tasks. My strongest interest was conventional meaning like to follow set procedures and routines, which I have confirmed. Being a child welfare specialist there are certain rules you have to go by and certain steps and procedures you have to follow I know that I would do well in this job setting. Social was my second highest interest being in a career field like the one I have chosen there are times that you have to be very social I feel like I am able to make fit right in.…

Everyone has goals in life. It’s the person's choice whether to achieve them or let them slip by. After I graduate high school I will reach my goals in the most efficient way possible. For my career choice I want to be an ultrasound technician. My step-mom and Aunt-in-law both have accomplished roles in the medical field. They are definitely two role models I want to follow. I won’t let this goal fall through the cracks. However, to become an ultrasound technician there are certain steps I have to take.…
Since I was a little girl I always dreamed about working in the medical field now that I am older and ready to start the path to my career I have chose on becoming a Ultrasound Technologist for various reason. To begin with what gave me the extra push on deciding this particular career path as a Ultrasound Technologist was attending my mothers pregnancy ultrasound appointments and the excitement we would receive when the sonographer would demonstrate to us on the screen my little brothers face, arms and legs. It's an unexplainable excitement we would receive and I want to be able to give that same feeling to others, it excited me that hopefully in a couple years this dream of mine will come true.…
Therapeutic Ultrasound is a well established and commonly used practice in the field of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitative sciences. Primarily ultrasound is used in the treatment and repair of soft tissue lesion management used as thermal modality. However in recent practice the non-thermal aspects of Ultrasound as intervention are being employed. Evidence indicates the dose dependant Ultrasound therapy effects the inflammatory, proliferative and remodelling phases of soft tissue injury to encourage the repair of damaged cells.…
My results for the work interest assessments were social, investigative, and conventional. Social has to do with helping people. Social people tend to prefer working with others and taking on a team approach to dealing with problems. They typically get along well with other people and enjoy meeting new people in group settings. Investigative refers to thinking and problem solving. People in this category typically work in jobs that deal with science and the use of computers. Conventional relates to organization. People in the conventional category like to follow plans and be organized. Also, they tend to pay attention to small details.…
My goal in life right now is a choice between two very different careers. The careers I have in mind are being a Foreign Service officer or being a software engineer. I know in my career paper I indicated a preference towards becoming a Foreign Service officer, particularly one involved in economic affairs, as it fits my major better. However, I’ve always held an interest in computer and software design and programming and my interests would also be served by becoming a software engineer. My goal is to find the career that suits me better than the other career and strive to achieve that career. Right now, I am still working on best aligning my interests towards my desired career.…
I was raised and born in Oakland. My family was born in Mexico my father didn’t have the same opportunities as my mom so he ended his education before finishing elementary school. My mom on the other hand got the opportunity to study so she studied to become a nurse. However my mom decided that she wanted to see San Francisco and when she moved to the United States her education no longer counted. When both of my parents meet here in the bay area they both decided to not go back to their hometown because they wanted their family to have a better future than the one they had. My parents have always supported me with my education and are always expecting the best of me. That is the main motivation for I want to prof to my parents that their sacrifice of leaving their families behind and their education was worth it. That is why I have looked at the careers that interest me the most. I'm interested in helping people and making sure that their health is in perfect condition. I would like to do this while having my own comfortable life and being economically stable. The two careers that I am interested are nursing and diagnostic medical sonographers. I am interested in this field because I have always dreamed…
So far in extern I realized that my attitude towards the career I have chosen is positive because is all I’ve dreamed of becoming since I sort of had an idea on where I wanted to be. Maybe it wasn’t like the path I wanted to take right away, since my plan was going straight for RN, but I’m glad I took a different path because I learned so much in such a brief time. For instance, I made great friends along which made feel connected because they were trying to reach the same dream that I had, and I left the school knowing that I had a family that would do anything for each other. Also, I had a great instructor that cared for his students and believe in them that they would reach high standards even if the students didn’t believe they could of reach these goals. As well in extern, my office manager has help me out trying to break my shell by helping me out in blood draw and has showed me everything that had to do with billing and coding, insurances, telephone etiquette, able to use the system, etc. With my office manager I would have been lost in the office not knowing what to expect.…
The first time I started college I had a different career path. It was not after my pregnancies that I decided to make the change to sonography. I think sonography is a career that really fits my expectations, and to make sure I am in the right path I will research this career in depth.…
Even though I have never considered the fact that my personality type may reflect on the type of job I enjoy, nor have I ever tired to match myself to a job depending on my personality, I have been doing it my whole life through. As I have said before in another discussion I was borne and raised on a farm and I have always been an on hands type of person as well as no stranger to physical labor. After examining John Holland Careers and Personality it is very obvious that my personality does match my careers, both past, present, and if all goes well in the future as well. With this being said I fall in the category of being realistic, in which I like to solve concrete problems, work with my hands and/or tools, and as I said before physical labor is a close friend of mind. As for the social activity jobs, I can do them but to be honest I would rather be left alone while I’m working. So therefore my personality is of a realistic one.…
In addition, each of these occupations have a meaning associated with why I was once interested in them. For instance, I was interested in bowling because it was extremely fun and I was a very good. Also, I was interested in modeling because I am extremely photogenic and I have some of the qualities needed to become a model. In addition, I was interested in dancing because it is extremely fun and uplifting, however, I had to stop because I hurt my sprained my foot. Lastly, I was interested in cooking because I am a great cook. I also attended a cooking school and learned several techniques and…
