Coast Guard Application Letter Sample
Hello LT Talbert!

I am emailing you to update you on the status of my Coast Guard Academy application after being notified that I was placed on the waitlist. Although I was disappointed at first that I was not awarded an appointment right away, I see this as a great opportunity to show how much an appointment to the Coast Guard Academy means to me. I immediately accepted my place on the waitlist and my interest in the Coast Guard Academy has not wavered. Instead, my interest has only increased as the Coast Guard Academy will always be my #1! I have spent the past week securing my plan B as directed by my waitlist notification.

The updates that I have include:

-Last May, I took the AP Environmental Exam and scored a 4 on it. I opted to send

For this award, I explained my experiences as a lifeguard and presented my journal and financial records. This was focused on how I learned and progressed in my job as a lifeguard. Although I have not been formally awarded this award yet, I will be recognized on stage with a plaque and $250 at the Pennsylvania FFA State Convention in June 13th or 14th.

-Lastly, I also received notification in March from the Military Officer Association of America (MOAA) that I am a semifinalist for the MOAA Scholarship Fund program. I was recognized as a semifinalist after submitting an application to be judged based off of my academic, athletic, and leadership qualities.

Despite being awarded the Navy ROTC Scholarship, I could not imagine myself fitting in with any other branch. When I read that the Coast Guard had seized over 16 tons of cocaine last March in Florida, I was amazed and in awe of how many potential lives were saved from this drug interdiction. Although I was placed on the waitlist, I feel closer than ever to reaching my goal of becoming a career Coast Guard officer. Thank you for all of your help throughout my application process! I look forward to staying in contact with you as I wait on the waitlist.

I look forward to your response and have a nice Easter!

Very Respectfully,

Kaleigh

Did you know the Navy is the only branch where you get to pick your job and what you want to do for that branch? Also there are sometimes in the Navy where it takes about 4 months or even more to get to where they needed to be in order to fight. I did not know a lot of those facts until I decided to interview my cousin, Griffin. He has recently just stopped serving in the military because he never gets to see his family. He missed his little kids and his wife named Brittney. His kids are all young, and he has three boys and one girl. His…

My application to the Navy Health Professions Scholarship Program follows the time-period I previously believed would be the best of my adult life: after I was confirmed a place in a U.S. medical degree program. While I was and continue to be extremely pleased with achieving the goal which inspired incredible hard work throughout the last five exhausting years, I would be diminishing myself to claim that this achievement was enough. Long before beginning my applications to medical school, I had been introduced to the benefits of Navy medicine – mainly through its contributions to pre-hospital emergency medical care. I was particularity impressed with the significant influence Navy research had on medical techniques that were so standard to…

Raised in a military family, I consider myself an organized, dedicated, adventurous and motivated person. My father has been a great influence in my life and an honorable example of a military man who serves the people of our nation with pride. At an early age I learned about sacrifices, “This We Will Defend,” honor, respect and devotion to duty. I truly believe in what the Army stands for hence why it would be a great privilege to join the few and elite members of the prestigious Officer’s. There are many reasons I would like to become one of the officers. I want to serve alongside the Army men and women who’s work and valor have helped keep this nation safe. I want to help keep our nation a safe place and be able to give back to society. I want to continue in my fathers footsteps and make my family proud. Four years in the ROTC will prepare me in making sound decisions by providing me with the tools needed for the everyday challenges and adversities met with on a daily basis by an Army Officer. As a cadet I expect to work hard to become better educated, physically, emotionally, and mentally fit as well as developing into a more inspiring team player and leader of character. One of my goals have been to be eligible to take honor and advance placement classes in preparation for university. I have achieved my goal by sacrificing, staying focused, asking for help and being persistent in my studies. Moreover, I have been taking honors and advance classes since my freshmen year. Other goals I have set and met include improving my score for my track meets and reading 150 books for my grade every year. My goals have helped me hone my work ethics and without diligence I would not have been able to accomplish my goals.…
