This paper will instruct you on how to create a facebook account, do basic things such as find friends, set profile information, add a profile pic, interact with friends and set privacy settings. Before setting up a facebook account you must have access to the internet and a valid email account. Once you have these tools you can begin navigating to facebook.com. In order to navigate to facebook.com your computer must be on and connected to the internet. Once this is done open your preferred browser, delete what’s in you web address bar and type in www.facebook.com and press enter. This will place you on facebooks main login/signup page where you can begin your signup process. On this page you can signup for a facebook account so you can begin creating your page. There are designated spaces for your information, to create your account facebook ask for: your name, email address, a new password, gender, and birthdate ( please note that your gender and birthdate is optional all other fields are needed) fill in each section and click signup (please note that your password must be at least six characters and is case sensitive.) After this is done, you must sign into your email account and open the verification email that was sent to your email from facebook.com and verify that you have created this account by clicking the link in the email, this will active your facebook page and you can begin setting up your page and connecting with friends. Being as though you just set up this account you should already be logged in by default but for future references to log into facebook you must use the email address and the password you created when you signed up. Since you are new to facebook it’s going to start you off with a few prompts to get your page up and running so you can find friends, friends can find you and you can interact with others thru facebook.com. All of these prompts can be skipped and are optional, you can also set and alter these settings later
