The United States is the host of many of the world’s most elite athletes and sports teams. People travel around the world and come from other countries to be part of these teams. Basketball, baseball, and football are amongst the United States most favored sports. It is easy to identify and classify sports teams by the various things, the equipment and team components, as well as the attire and logos they are represented by. The United States has some of the world’s most talented athletes and many of them belong to the NBA. Basketball is one of the most favorite sports in the US. The NBA can be identified by any of its 30 sports teams. Basketball like both baseball and football is a team sport. It ranks as one of the hottest sports of all times. Basketball can be categorized by the arena it is played in, better known as a court. Basketball consists of 5 players playing from one team at a time. Each of the NBA teams can be easily identified by their unique team mascots and the colors of the team. Another popular US sport and one of the oldest, is baseball. Like basketball, baseball is also a team sport. Baseball however is played on a baseball diamond or field and only 9 players are allowed to play at one time from each team. Baseball is played using a ball and bat and like basketball, it is easy to identify teams by their mascots and colors. Baseball, unlike the other sports was founded in 1869 and is now made up of a total of 29 teams, which is a smaller amount than the amount of basketball teams. Of all the sports I am discussing, baseball players are the highest paid, and the season is actually much longer than those of basketball and football. Finally, when looking at football, many would agree that it can be considered the United States most popular sport.
