Class History
Ive been studying in GBBC since 1st grade. When I was already in my grade 6, the school re-established its high school department, starting with the 1st and 2nd year levels.
At first, I did not want to spend my high school life at GBBC for I thought it would be boring if I'll be in the same school for the next four years. But convinced by my parents, I enrolled as 1st year.
On the first day of class, I saw my old classmates, PJ, Jonjie, Eman, Kenneth, and my classmates since grade 1, Lovely, Angel and Nhoney. I also saw my classmates back when I was in elementary, Jhomel, Paulo, Irish, Jenefer and Donald.
There were many new students. Carlo, Elier, Val, Rexil who looked like a BADJAO but turns out to be a very good mathematician, Jigh and his brother Japh, who had nosebleed on the very first day of his high school life.
Our first year adviser was Sir JM Mercado, who was also in his 1st year of teaching. Sir Manuel Abogadie was our Araling Panlipunan teacher that year. Our first impression with him was strict and had no sense of humor, like a TERROR teacher. But we were wrong. He was a man of jokes, corny jokes! Haha ;D Being a freshman was fun, experiencing new things AS WE GROW UP. They grow up, rather. Hahaha :)
In our second year, Sir Manuel became our adviser. We had lots of transferees. Elmer, Ashley, Jethro, Tyrone, Keith, Joan, Princess and the 3KINGS, Jaryl, Eddie, and Michael, who jumped out of the campus area, landed on toscana then caught by the guards. Our section was called Gilead, but we were more known as the ''worst section ever'' for doing lots of mischievous things.
In third year, unfortunately, some of our classmates failed and had to repeat 2nd year. They transferred to another schools. The 3kings also transferred so the BUGOYS were lessened. On the contrary, we had new classmates, Edwin, Sheina, Cristilyn, Lian, Jeanic, Jenmark, Rizza, ang anak ng Pasig and Ezer who said he would reach the stars and dive into the deepest

    Before the eve of the revolution the American colonist had developed a sense of their identity and unity to the extent that they all wanted freedom from the empirical power , Britain, but at the same time they still wanted their own individual powers and freedoms from the rest of the colonies. The colonists knew that in the instance that a war with Britain was to happen that it was a join or die prospect ( Doc. A). In document A it also shows that all colonies had found that unity was the only way that they could have a chance against the British. The colonies, at first, all wanted to remain part of Britain but wanted to be shown the equal rights. None of the colonies wanted to obey the taxes levied on them by the British parliament. Colonists, in a Congress meeting in Philadelphia, decided to write the Declaration for Taking up Arms, to show that they didn’t want independence quite yet but would do anything to protect their liberties( Doc. E). In document E a sense of unity is shown because it says “ in one mind we,” at this time colonist are trying to show that all the colonies stand firm in their wants and desires. The colonies became closer and more ready when the leadership from George Washington arose. Another way that unity is shown in document G when it is shown that most colonies pitched in to the war effort to help with whatever they could for Boston. To sum it all up American Colonists considered themselves Americans at the turn of the French- Indian War when differences are shown by the British in the way they delt with how to win the war. The way in which they went about winning surprised the colonist and gave them the identity of Americans.     A lot of people view “knowledge” as how smart you are, or what you know and what you don’t, but there is much more to what “knowledge” really is. According to Charles van Doren, knowledge is the accumulation of information and the understanding of how things work. There are three types of knowledge: knowledge in particulars, general knowledge, and certain knowledge. Particular knowledge is knowing where you are well enough to survive and general knowledge is understanding concepts. Van Doren gives these examples as a pieces of general knowledge, “All living things are born and also die,” and “...winter follows summer, and summer winter” (pg. xx). General knowledge is understanding the cause and effect of things. Finally, certain knowledge is grouped into two types: Self-evident propositions and faith. There are few self-evident propositions. Many math statements are considered certainly true (self-evident propositions), as well as real world statements such as, “A finite whole is greater than any of its parts,” as van Doren explains (pg. xxi). The other part of certain knowledge is faith. The pieces of information that God has given us through His Word. Accepting this knowledge from God as certain truths is difficult for many, and is even said to be impossible without His grace. People desire for knowledge. And the one cure for our desire of knowledge is faith (pg. xxiii). Faith answers so many questions that the other types of knowledge fail to answer.…
