Opening Case Questions
1. Evaluate how Apple can gain business intelligence through the implementation of a customer relationship management system. -Apple can gain business intelligence through the implementation of a customer relationship management system because customer relationship management systems are designed to manage every aspect of the relationship between the organization and the customer. By implementing a customer relationship management system, Apple will have full insight on the behaviors and buying patterns of each and every customer.

2. Create an argument against the following statement: “Apple should not invest any resources to build a supply chain management system.”
-If Apple invested in a supply chain management system, their efficiency would sky rocket. By building a supply chain management system, Apple would never have an overabundance of their product waiting around in their warehouses. The system would instead alert Apple when a product is running low with enough time to fully restock that product. A supply chain management system would “save time, reduce inventory, and decrease order processing costs” (Book Pg 28) for Apple as it has for Proctor & Gamble.

3. Why would a company like apple invest in BPR?
-A company like Apple would invest in BPR for one reason: to improve efficiency. BPR would take the way Apple currently functions, and mold it into the path that is truly the most effective and efficient. I personally believe that Apple is already at the top of its class, so BPR would do nothing but help them to grow.
