Dear Parents,
Academic and co – curricular activities go hand in hand in our endeavour to promote an all round development in a child. In this connection, we are pleased to inform you that we are having a ‘Fancy Dress Competition’ for the Kindergarten students. Though it was recorded in the school diary as 29th and 30th of June 2011, due to unavoidable reasons, we will be holding the competition between the 3rd and 5th of July, 2011. In this regard, please make a note of the following grades and dates on which it will be conducted: * 3rd July, 2011 – KG 1 A, KG 1 B, KG 1 C, KG 1 D, KG 1 E and KG 1 F * 4th July, 2011 – KG 1 G, KG 1 H, KG 1 I, KG 2 A, KG 2 B and KG 2 C * 5th July, 2011 – KG 2 D, KG 2 E, KG 2 F, KG 2 G and KG 2 H * Theme for KG 1 – Fairy Tale characters/ Characters from Nursery Rhymes * Theme for KG 2 – Fairy Tale characters/ Characters from Nursery Rhymes/ Role models or Favourite personalities * The children of KG 1 can speak a few lines if they want to, it is not compulsory * The children of KG 2 must speak a few lines on the theme he/ she opts for * Props are allowed but not necessary as it will not impact the judgement
The day will be as follows: * The children should dress up from home and come to school by 7.45 a.m. * The children should be dropped off in their respective classes * The competition starts sharp at 8.15 a.m. * The children need to bring in their snack bags * An extra set of clothes could be sent, in case of any emergency * The buses will depart at 11.30 a.m. as usual
Please note that the judgement will be made on the following criteria:
KG – 1 * Creativity and originality of the presentation * Overall presentation, confidence and disposition

KG – 2 * Creativity and originality of the presentation * Clarity and delivery of speech * Overall presentation,
