What Goes Up Must Come Down

Some days I sit and think about the good days, how things use to be and the things that made me happy, and it hit me. Most of my childhood memories consisted of playing, playing is what made me the happiest. As a child there were many things i would play with, from barbie’s to yo yo’s, to easy bake ovens and cabbage patch dolls, and don't get me wrong they were all great! But what i loved most, and what gave me the most satisfaction in playing was the board game Chutes and Ladders. To me it was just one of those fun, competitive games that I could play with friends and family, it was a very easy game that I learned at a young age, and continued to grow with me. When I was a child i thought
Chutes and Ladders was all fun and games, but now that I am older, I realize Chutes and
Ladders indeed had a significance to it. Chutes and Ladders is all about Karma! What goes around comes around.
Chutes and Ladders has been around for years. There has been many different renditions over the years, however the particular one I would play with as a child was played on a 10×10 board, and players advance their pieces by spinning a spinner, unlike most games at the time that would use dice. The theme of the board design is playground

equipment, and each player plays with a child shaped character that comes in all ethnicities, which I loved. The children climb ladders and go down chutes. The artwork on the board was their were squares on the bottom of the ladders showing a child doing a good or sensible deed and at the top of the ladder there is an image of the child enjoying the reward. At the top of the chutes, there are pictures of children doing bad things or foolish behaviour and the images on the bottom show the child suffering the consequences, their is 100 squares, with 19 chutes and ladders. A player would need spin the spinner to
