In this church there was a schedule made for the days of service. They go based on the microtime and it is polychromic. There is service on Sundays; regular service, Tuesdays; Bible study, Thursdays Children service or prayer service, and on Friday youth service or gentleman/ lady service. There people are always assigned what to do for the service, but there is always someone that will be multitasking. The service is composed of reading the bible, praise & worship, prayer for the sick, and all the church members petitions, offering song to pick up any offering, prayer, parts given to those that were chosen by the pastor to bring something for God, and then the preacher does his sermon. They know at what time they start, but there is no ending time. Usually the church service starts at 7 pm and it can end at 10, 11, or 12. The service starts formal and ends up informal. Analysis Of Church Unique

Church Unique is a well-written book concerned with the development and implementation of a vision. Will Mancini writes with a passion and desire for leader to be able to see and communicate the God sized vision that God has for their church. Mancini mentions his one purpose in writing: “…to challenge you to find your Church Unique – that is, to live a vision that creates a stunningly unique, movement – oriented church” (xxii). There are many church growth models and fads available today, yet Mancini steers his readers away from such concepts and ideas. A vision must be specific to a certain context, thus it is unique to the context of the organization.…

The congregation over the years has had significant milestones of social action and concern. Just prior to the outbreak of the Civil War, an African Slave was jailed pending return to his owner. The congregation members at that time rose up and broke into the jail to free the slave so he could flee to Canada. This rescue was better known as The Jerry Rescue and was in response to the newly passed Fugitive Slave Laws. This rescue was one of the first challenges to the law. The church is a Just peace Church, Open and Affirming, and a Sanctuary Church. I describe the identity and brief history of the church because the community which makes up the church body plays a significant role in what forms of worship will be allowed. Given the church’s history of social action and willingness to be at the forefront of unique religious expressions, the form of worship in many ways is unique.…

    Christianity and Church

“Church” is an ambiguous word. What is a church? Is a church a body of believers, a building or both? Does a church have to be in a building? Can a person be a church by themselves, or does it have to be with a congregation? The interminable questions make it ever more difficult to define, but for the sake of having a definition I will settle with; a body (a group of people or congregation) of Christian believers coming together to worship Christ. As an American Christian, I worship the triune God in a church in a small town in the Cascade Mountains called Manson. The worship typically consists of Sunday morning services comprised of singing praise followed by a message and teaching, along with fellowship.…
