How healthy are chocolate chip cookies? I started out researching on how to bake cookies, however, while I was researching I decided to change my topic on how baking gluten free cookies are healthier compared to normal cookies. This past winter my sister was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, causing her to become gluten free. My mom has been making gluten free chocolate chip cookies for her so she can still enjoy cookies.
First, I went to Google still thinking about how to bake cookies and found multiple different recipes with pictures. I choose one that looked the best and wrote down the ingredients and the directions. This recipe called for 2 cups of flour, ½ teaspoon of baking soda, ½ teaspoon of salt, ¾ cup butter, 1 cup of brown sugar,

I continued my search on Yahoo where I found a healthy cookie recipe, similar ingredients and time length. However, when I went to Bing I found gluten free recipe and decided that I should change my research to the difference between regular chocolate chip cookies to gluten free chocolate chips cookies. I continued to research on the Grossmont Databases, first looking at Consumer Health Complete, finding out that sugar beet molasses is an ingredient that is able to enhance the nutrition in gluten-free cookies. Additionally I looked at Science Direct, searching Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Cookies. An article about consumer acceptance of these gluten-free cookies surfaced, comparing the reactions of consumers between gluten-free and regular cookies. Again, I went back to the database and found 3 other articles about, gluten-free cookies, obesity from cookies, and cookies helping in math. I wrote notes on all these articles to help with my research on the differences and comparing the health facts between normal and gluten-free cookies. After much research on the computer, I decided to look through my moms cook books and cooking magazines to find more

ZZ Packer’s short story, “Brownies,” demonstrates a repeated cycle of inherited racism with a possibility for change presented by Laurel and Daphne’s approach to dealing with racial struggles. The story revolves around a racial conflict between Laurel’s Brownie troop (black girls) and troop 909 (white girls), where a girl from troop 909 allegedly refers to Daphne with a racial insult. The girls have dealt with racism directly through their own experiences and indirectly by their parents past racial conflicts. This causes the girls to stereotype white people, to view them as outsiders, and it also leads to the inadvertent reenacting of their parents racial struggles when confronting troop 909. Packer illustrates a chance for change with Daphne and Laurel’s approach to their parents’ racial conflicts, and there own racial struggles. Through their parents’ passed down racial struggles, and their own encounter with racism, Laurel’s troop builds a misguided foundation on dealing with white people, which can only be broken by exploring other options as individuals.…

I am Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream: a blend of bold, rich chocolate infused with a tangy and bittersweet minty flavor which combines to provide a strong flavor that represents who I am. Mint Chocolate Chip is a contradiction between two different flavors that should not have been blended in the first place, yet due to some odd man’s creative endeavor they came together, inevitably becoming one of the most known and beloved flavors of people throughout the world. Don’t get me wrong, some people I have come across hate the taste and cannot even stand just a whiff of Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream. But the people who love it cherish every bite of the bold, strong, tangy flavor that knocks their taste buds out. Similarly, I am a contradiction of two blended flavors that create my identity.…
