Children In Uganda
Children all over the world suffer everyday from bad home life, born with health problems, no shelter, abusive parents, not having enough food or water to have a good living. Majority of the children are robbed of their childhood. Everyone has heard about the problems in Africa mainly children dying of lack of food and clean water causing malnutriton. After researching more about what caught my eye was the problem in Uganda that has been going on for about twentyfive years and still happening today.
It’s a very tragic and almost unbelievable story that this would happen in the lives of young children. Imagine the little kids you see on the playground at your nearby elementary school were running around with guns just shooting whatever got

This took place at Taft Union High School near Bakersfield, California. This school shooting started because the student was a victim of bullying and he wanted revenge. The student came to school and shot one student and missed another. He called the student who was bullying him, and the came out of hiding and apologized, but the teacher, Ryan Heber, interrupted and he came face to face with the 16- year-old student, who was armed. Heber wasn’t sure with this if the student was either, going to put the weapon down or continue shooting. While the student was distracted, Supervisor Kim Fields took the rest of the students so they could escape. Finally, the shooter surrendered and the police took the student into custody. Friday, the next day, school was cancelled due to the situation, but counseling sessions were held that morning for teachers or students who wished to attend. Before Heber spoke to the shooter, the student who was shot in the process was in a critical, yet a stable condition. Kern County Sheriff, Donny Youngblood said “The name of the student wasn’t released, and is debating whether he will be charged as an adult or not.” KDET reported “Heber is a well-known and liked science teacher and was a graduate at Taft and with the situation the Heber family will be there for him with emotional support.” The Taft shooting was the latest school shooting in the U.S., and it launched a big debate whether teachers should carry weapons to protect themselves and others in case of another shooting. Immediately after the shooting, parents went to the school to pick up their children and express concern about the school security. A parent reported “We’re going to protect our students a lot more, and it goes to show that there is one bad apple out there.”…

Diversity refers to the state of fact of being diverse, different, or unlike. In a way that means that everyone is extraordinary, unique, and different. That all of us have talents, gifts, abilities, and experiences that offers us with our own important messages to share. Diversity can also refer to a state in which different and often conflicting views, ideas, items, or objects are accommodated within one system. It is the acceptance and respect for the differecences that different people possesss. I feel that I am diverse just by how I feel and think about things. I noticed that I have different and, sometimes, conflicting points of view with other people, but I am okay with that. Being diverse isn't bad. I can also say I am diverse in how live my life. My way of living my life is different from many others and other's lives are different from everyone else as well. That is diversity it's culture, religion, and ways of thinking. There are many different kinds and they all should learn to coincide with each other.…

If you never heard of this horrible event took it place on December 14th, when armed gunman Adam Lanza allegedly shot and killed twenty-six people , twenty of which were innocent children kindergarten to first grade and six teachers. Police also say that Adam was thought to have killed his mother before even entering this school. Sandy Hook is a well populated school with approximately 700 students. The school has a security system in which you have to be buzzed into the school, but apparently this wasn’t enough. The gunman forced entry, shooting out the locked door upon entrance, the door was shot out with an “assault rifle” such as a bushmaster rifle. Also the other guns found on the scene of the crime were a glock handgun and also sig-sauer handgun.(Sandy Hook shooting: What happened?). Now this is where it starts to get interesting. Some places you look for information on this topic you have multiple versions like any other story, but in my opinion the stories are more and more twisted even as time goes on, but your opinion is all that matters, and with that being said there are two videos I do believe you should watch.…

On December 14, 2012, twenty children and six adults were killed in a school shooting. Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut was bombarded with the 2nd deadliest murder in an American elementary school since the Bath School bombing in Michigan in 1927. The Sandy Hook Elementary shootings, labeled as a “mass murder”, ended with the man committing suicide by shooting himself in the head when responders arrived. Families of the deceased were left mourning for their love ones along with others from the school. No human-being in their right mind would find the mass murder of little ones in this world, sane. These parents will never be able to see their kids have their 16th birthday, get their first car, get married and have little ones of their own.…

This massacre was conducted by two students, Dylan Klebold (17) and Eric Harris (18), who were also students that attended the school. The perpetrators’ motives were initially not to open fire but to set a bomb off, however that did not work out so they resorted to using their guns. The guns they used were sold to them illegally since they were still underage. This chaotic massacre not only wounded more than twenty students but this left 13 students and a teacher dead. Would you not want your children going to a safe school and coming back home safe and…

Young kids don’t have the understanding that a gun can potentially kill or seriously injure someone. A great amount of kids involved in tragic accidents are too young. Most parents think they’re old enough to keep a gun around the house and believe they’re responsible enough to be given one, but they’re not. According to the Journal Gazette newspaper, the younger, the more curious a child is about guns. So, the more time and effort it will take to bring him or her to the point of understanding why it is so important not to handle guns without adult guidance. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Nearly 800 children under 14 years old were killed in gun accidents from 1999 to…

Many families do not keep their guns in safe places that children couldn’t reach. For example, in South Carolina a 2-year-old shot his grandmother in the back while she was riding in the back seat of the car the child found the gun in the back of the front seat and shot his grandmother. Since children don’t know the concept of killing and harming people they have injured and killed many people, even children have killed their own parents and siblings. For example, a child shot his father in an event where many people were present. These kinds of incidents have happened many times because the parents didn't pay attention to the consequences of keeping guns. Not keeping guns in a safe place where children can't reach can result in familie’s own…
