Child Nursing Personal Statement

Child Nursing is such a diverse, stimulating and meaningful career that I really feel it is the precise course for me. It is a vocation for people who are applied, diligent, and reliable and who find it easy to quickly inaugurate respectable, trusting interactions with new people. I believe I have these skills and a genuine desire to comfort and help people when they need it most. The role of the child nurse is varied within the NHS, with more prospects for nurses to take greater accountability for patient care and to become experts in areas such as cancer treatments, intensive care and other areas of expertise.
The vocational and academic aspects of a course in Child Nursing are deeply interesting. In academic terms I am intrigued by the

I have always considered child nursing as an occupation because ever since I was young, when being asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, my reply was to be a child’s nurse or a pediatrician and to be of a support to others in any way I can. The dedication and humanity of child nurses who go extra than just giving care to young patients, but sincerely wanting to make them contented and as happy as possible in tough times is truly inspirational. I also attended some outreach for medicine events which took place in King’s College London and it inspired me more, by pushing to be able to commit to a medical career even though I have not reached my full academic potential, and this gave me the confidence which I needed to be able to carry on with the decision which I thought was right for me. I also did work experience at a nursery for two weeks, and during this time I was able to interact and work with children, I also had to create new activities for the children and this helped to increase my confidence levels and being able to manage my time properly and interact with new people as I had to give a feedback of each child to their parents, overall working at a nursery has given me insights' into the humanity of a young child. I also enjoy doing other voluntary work in my church, leading the youth choir, and helping during Sunday school and also attending a youth club in my spare time, I also enjoy reading novels and watching comedy movies.
