Well, it’s because their are very big health hazards, kids are not getting schooled right, and they are just plain out too young for these working conditions.

My first reason is one of the most important one in my opinion, health hazards but really all of the reasons that I list are equally important. All around the world kids are being woken up early in the morning and not eating sometimes to go to there very bad working hazards. In some cases kids have to buy special gear or items just to not be damaged by the heat or any animals that they come in contact with. Which, is expensive and where most of their payments go too. Many children died and almost died when their factory collapsed after falling inspection the owner said if they wanted to be paid they would stay so they did and unfortunately many kids died. Who’s bothered about this? Certainly not me! Am I taking action? Heck no! I don’t know about you, but child labor just might be the best thing that has ever happened to the world. Children in other countries are living and working in sweat shops that are in the worst of conditions. Not only are they there to make a small amount of money, but some are there to pay off debts that their parents could not afford. Divakaruni says they “spend their day in dark ill-vented rooms doing work that damages their eyes and lungs”(398). The adolescents working in these factories clearly are not of any consideration, and have absolutely no rights. They are being exploited and used selfishly to help profit the company. Not only do they work in horrid conditions but they are not even allowed to take a bathroom break or stand up to stretch with out a pay cut. This is not right, and something needs to be done to help the kids live a life without filth and fear.…

It is true that child labor is a terrible thing, especially for those children who are sold to employers by their parents at the age of 5 or 6 and have no way to protect themselves from abuse. In many cases it will be decades -- perhaps a lifetime, due to the fines heaped upon them whenever they make mistakes -- before they can buy back their freedom. Meanwhile these children, mostly employed by rug-makers, spend their days in dark, ill-ventilated rooms doing work that damages their eyes and lungs. They aren't even allowed to stand up and stretch. Each time they go to the bathroom, they suffer a pay cut.…
