Chick-Fil-A Personal Narrative
Chick-Fil-A, East Wichita; Today is my childs birthday. Where did he want to go for his birthday lunch? His choice was Chick-Fil-A. We ate lunch at your establishment, and after that, my child went to play in the playground. A child younger than mine was also playing in the playground, running around with a leather belt! That was Okay with the adults the child was with, whom were sitting right outside the playground, at the table next to the playground door. They let him keep running around around with the leather belt, and swinging it around, while he was playing. Unprovoked by my child at all, the younger child with the leather belt, ends up Hitting my son on the Head, With the leather belt, Five times! It happened up in the tunnels, out of my sight, but I could hear my child yelling to the other …show more content…
My child ends up coming down the tunnel slide, crying his eyes out....and through his tears, he told me the younger child had hit him with the belt, 5 Times, on his head. One of the two women (I assume the child with the belt, was with Grandma, and Mom), came into the playground, and took the belt away, but she still let the child continue to play. My son and I left the playground, and I went to find a manager to say what had just happened, before we left the restaurant. I assumed they would like to know, that a child was running around with a belt, hitting other children, in the playground. A male manager came over to me (I don't remember his name). I told him what had just happened...my son got hit in the head 5 Times, by a child running around with a belt, in the playground. What response did I get? "Well, I can't go policing that playground, and the kids in it!" and "We can't do anything about that." Really?? He/The manager eventually Begrudgingly told me that he would go speak with the adults. I was Not asking him to "police the playground"! I was expecting a "That's too bad that happened!

    Criticism Of Chick-Fil-A

Chick-fil-A is a fast food restaurant based off of their founder's, Truett Cathy, morals. Christianity was a key principal in Cathy's idea of his ideal business. There are tons of businesses today who do not mix church and state, but Cathy had a different idea in mind. Although Chick-fil-A receives criticism for the morals they uphold, they have taken over America. According to Business Insider, Chick-fil-A has dominated America as over the majority of state's favorite restaurant. As a Christian myself, I enjoy the atmosphere Chick-fil-A creates for their customers. I love walking in to a clean restaurant, Christian music is playing, amiable cashiers and other employees, and, of course, delicious food. I personally think Chick-fil-A does an…

Instead, I would make a visit to Jane's daycare facility to ensure that they are aware of this incident and see if they have reported the incident themselves. If for some reason they know nothing about what has happened, by going directly to the daycare to follow up with the facility management will give them a chance to handle it more effectively. Once Management is able to investigate the situation with the facility's staff then they will be able to take the steps necessary to remove the individual responsible for hitting Jane. By making sure the incident has been made apparent to the daycare facility this does a lot more good. Considering that we know exactly where the mark came from, there is no need for an intense investigation by other agencies since we know exactly where the abuse happened. It allows the daycare to be made aware of what is going on in their program and how the children of the daycare are being treated by the staff. This gives the facility the opportunity to fix and handle the problem accordingly without having to involve any other agencies. Even if management fails to appropriately handle the situation, then the daycare's human resources department can be notified or it can be reported to child protective services. Overall, this situation needs to be addressed within the daycare, and if needed this situation can be brought up to someone with greater authority to ensure it will be taken care…

Moreover, I went inside Sears and in the shoe section I saw a child who might have been three or four years playing with an airplane toy on the floor, while his mother was trying on shoes. After speaking with my supervisor we decided that it would be best to report it to the Child Abuse Hotline as we had reasonable suspicion of abuse. We decided to this because the child was fearful of attending school and although we understood that this was not abuse that occurred in the home we felt it best to report. Although when abuse occurs outside of the home must be reported to the police we felt that it would be best to be report to the hotline so that if another similar situation arises there are past reports. We made the report to the Child Abuse Hotline and immediately faxed over a written report within an…

There are many different types of abuse and neglecting with in a workplace to lookout for from children with minor injuries and accidents to major bruising and neglect to the child’s health. With the least serious situations being that of a minor bruise or cut from day to day activities outside of the nursery, when dealing with situations like this we engage with the parents and ask them to fill out a form to explain what, where, when and how the incident occurred, this helps to keep a log of incidents for each individual child. Incidents involving a wider range of markings and regular occurrence on the child's body and the way in which the child is engaging with carers and other children within the nursery can determine different ways of dealing with these situations. These are divided up into different forms of neglect and abuse:…
