Rebuilding The Chicago Bulls

First, of all The Bulls used to be a super team. Now they are an faint remembrance of The 80’s and 90’s. People like Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, Steve Kerr and more was the team of this era. After Michael Jordan announcing he was entering the NBA 1984 draft The Bulls weren’t doing too hot. He got selected 3rd overall but he wasn't the only need for them. Michael went to the playoffs that year but he and his team lost in the first round. They eventually went on to win six NBA Championships.

Now when Derrick Rose was drafted in 2008 and first overall he did great. Until he started having ACL and ankle problems. Most of the time he was out for the season and the aging Taj Gibson, and Carlos Boozer with Joakim Noah all being frontcourt they aren't good at offense.(Frontcourt isn’t the guards)The Bulls had a lot of defensive players not so much offense. Try to build some center and cornerstone players. The Bulls still have a lot of work cut out for them. Picks and luck will most likely be the success of the Bulls for a couple of years. Now The Bulls can make it to the playoffs but won’t make it past the 2nd round. In the east it's easy to rebuild because the Cavaliers dominate that. You can easily make it but more east teams are becoming super teams. Even though the east has some up and coming teams. People have supported the Bulls for a long time but Chicago is still growing. In my opinion when more people move there the less popular they are because people bring their likings of teams. Which then dwindles the Bulls popularity because people like the Celtics live there or Thunder fans are there. But places like Kansas City where basketball is popular but we have no team can affect that too. Thunder and Bulls are the main contingency here. The Bulls once were a super team then a terrible team and they are starting to rise

One blistering summers’ day in Northwest Florida, home for college, Jay was cleaning out the garage. This was apart of his mother’s summer clean sweep project, which she did every year. Jay comes from a family who is very involved in sports. So as he was singing the childhood clean up and going through and sorting the football pads, softballs, baseball, batting and fielding gloves, sweet bands, and other athletic equipment and sports wear he came across a recognizable object. It was his old bat. The Bat he used in little league almost 10 years ago. This was the first bat that Jay ever had. As Jay held the dusty, paint chipped, dry-rotting but yet still majestic bat in his hands, fond memories of the typical day at the ballpark began to flood his mind.…

Following Michael Jordans footsteps again, Rose became the first NBA all-star on the Bulls since Jordan was named an all-star in 1998. Rose’s third season could be considered his most successful, one of his best games was on January 17 2011. I remember sitting upstairs at my house, wearing my cobalt blue Adidas DRose 2.5s, watching the Bulls play the Grizzlies. The whole game Derrick seemed to be controlling the court, he flew up and down the light colored hardwood finding many creative ways to put the little orange ball in the little orange hoop. Derrick finished with 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 12 assists, recording his first triple double. I was amazed by his performance and began to watch as many Bull’s games as I could, just to see him play. After more great performances Rose lead his Bulls team to a 62-20 record and Derrick won the NBA’s most valuable player award. At age 22 Derrick Rose was the youngest person to ever be named the MVP of the league, breaking a 47 year old record. When he won the MVP he inspired me by the way he overcame a hard situation to become one of the greatest athletes in the NBA and he also made me believe that if I worked hard like he did I could accomplish my…

The Lakers originated in Minneapolis, in 1947. Their first years were extremely successful because the Lakers completely dominated the NBA. They won five championships in the first couple of years, and won plenty more in the late 1900’s. In those years, the Lakers had acquired the best point guard of all time, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, and the best center of all time, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. This dynamic duo along with many other amazing players, called the “Showtime Lakers,” won the Lakers organization multiple championships, and established the Lakers as the greatest team ever.
