1) If a person goes to the hospital (neutral stimulus) to receive chemotherapy treatment (unconditioned stimulus) that causes among others the response nausea (unconditioned response), eventually after several associations may be that the mere fact of attending the hospital or think of the hospital (conditioned stimulus) causes the same response that causes nausea of chemotherapy.
