QUESTION 2/VRAAG 2 2.1 2.1.1 A B C D 2.1.2 partially soluble / gedeeltelik oplosbaar soluble  / oplosbaar soluble  / oplosbaar insoluble  / onoplosbaar

Accept insoluble / Aanvaar onoplosbaar

Iodine and ethanol  have weak Van der Waals (intermolecular) forces (comparable strength forces) between their molecules and therefore they dissolve  Jodium en etanol het swak Van der Waalskragte (intermolekulêre kragte) (vergelykbare kragsterkte) tussen hul molekules en sal derhalwe oplos. OR Ethanol has a non polar carbon chain and I2 molecule is non polar hence iodine is soluble in ethanol. / Etanol besit 'n nie-polêre koolstofketting en I2-molekule is nie-polêr, dus is jodium oplosbaar in etanol. Gas molecules have no volume  Gasmolekule besit geen volume nie. As pressure increases , gas molecules are closer to each other , therefore IMF increases , thus smaller volume.  Wanneer die druk toeneem, is die gasmolekules nader aan mekaar, die IMK neem gevolglik toe en die volume verklein.

In other cases, you may want to purchase a commercial iron/coffee maker descaling product. Normally, this type of product comes in liquid or crystalline form. The key ingredient is usually sulfamic acid, an organic acid that is used for all kinds of interesting things. Sulfamic acid is an excellent descaling agent, and it is much safer for various types of metals. When strong enough, it will even remove rust (try it!).…
