Chemicals
Alloy - An alloy is a substance made by melting two or more elements together, at least one of them a metal. An Example: Examples of alloys include brass, bronze, 14k gold, and sterling silver.

covalent bond - A covalent bond is a chemical link between two atoms in which electrons are shared between them. An Example: There is covalent between the oxygen and each hydrogen in (H 2 O). Each of the bonds contains two electrons - one from a hydrogen atom and one from the oxygen atom. Both atoms share the electrons.

Combination of silicon and oxygen - The combination of silicon and oxygen is similarly to carbon and hydrogen, silicon and oxygen form numerous compounds. They are commonly known as silicates
An Example - Beach sand is a good example for a mixture of silicates.

Polymer - A large molecule made up of chains or rings of linked monomer units. Polymers usually have high melting and boiling points.
An example - Examples of Polymer would be PVC (poly vinyl chloride), polystyrene, and cellulose.

Liquid crystal – A liquid having certain crystalline characteristic, especially differntoptical properties in different directions when exposed to an electric field.
The liquid crystal is the actual image generator that you look at in the display.

Exothermic reaction –The term used to describe a reaction or process that releases energy in the form of heat. Sometimes the term is applied to processes that release other forms of energy, such as electrical energy, sound, or light.
An Example –The example would be combustion of wood.

Oxidation - Oxidation is the loss of electrons during a reaction by a molecule, atom or ion.
An Example - The example is iron combines with oxygen to form iron oxide or rust. The iron is said to have oxidized into rust.

Heating natural gas - Natural gas is a fuel made of methane, mixed with up to 20% of other gasses such as ethane and other hydrocarbons. An example - Natural gas is a popular choice for heating and
