The lab report will be 4-8 pages, typed, double spaced, in 12 pt Times New Roman font. The sections within the lab report should be as follows (and numbered accordingly):

3.0 Percent Halide Analysis of Cobalt Complex
4.0 Preparation and Standardization of a 0.3 M Hydrochloric Acid solution
5.0 Percent Ammonia Analysis of Cobalt Complex
6.0 Preparation and Standardization of a 0.1 M Sodium Thiosulfate solution
7.0 Percent Cobalt Analysis of Cobalt Complex
8.0 Discussion and Conclusions

Introduction (5 pts)
Discuss the goal of the semester. What are cobalt containing compounds useful for? (see pg. 7-8 of your lab manual to gain an idea; DO NOT copy verbatim, use your own words).
Give a brief summary of the methods and procedures
Give a brief summary of the primary conclusions
This section should be between half a page to a whole page in length.
Procedures (Sections 2.0 – 7.0, 15 points)
Give a brief summary of the procedure. This should not exceed more than 1 paragraph and ideally will consist of 2-3 sentences.
Present a balanced chemical equations (or equations) for the procedure.
Provide one example calculation with units for the procedure (for section 2.0, the synthesis procedure, the calculation included will be the percent yield).
Present a data table containing all of the other data related to the procedure that was not found in the example calculation.
Present a statement of final results from the procedure along with its reliability (i.e., average plus percent deviation). Section 2.0 will not have this statement since the only result is the grams of your unknown which is included in the percent yield calculation.
Conclusions (5 pts)
