Charmed, the series review

I didn't get into the series until I happened to catch a little bit of it on TNT one morning. That was in the beginning when Prue was still alive. I started to watch it out of curiosity and then I got really into the show, as I found myself wanting to watch it every day before and after school.
The three main characters in the show are Piper Halliwell, Phoebe Halliwell, Prue Halliwell (until she dies) and Paige Mathews-Halliwell (the half sister). All the sisters are witches, they are different but yet at the same time they are alike. After their mother died when the sisters were young, Grams, their grandmother, raised them. The sisters’ powers were tied to protect them until they were old enough to understand. Once the death of Grams occurred, Piper, Prue and Phoebe reunited a few years later at the manor (the house they grew up in and reside at).
Piper Halliwell is well rounded, levelheaded, and she is the one that can help with Phoebe and Prue when they are having a falling-out. She will make sure everything between them is right, at least for a little while. Piper's powers can freeze time and blow things up with her hands. She is also very good at making potions. It is pretty awesome and I am sure there are some of us that wish we could do the same things she can do on TV. Piper Halliwell is played by Holly Marie Combs.
Phoebe Halliwell is more of the rebellious one; she likes to live her life day by day and what ever happens, happens. She has a big heart and tries to help people find love, but she has a hard time finding love of her own. Phoebe and Prue have had some hard ships, but they have been trying to mend them back together. Phoebe's powers are premonitions, levitating and empathy (in the later seasons). She also knows a lot of the martial arts. The sisters also call her on a lot to write spells, she's known to be very good at it. Lord knows that it would be so unreal to be able to do what Phoebe does and how your

The two girls turn out to be, in famous phrase, "more alike than unalike." They were both "dumped" there. They become allies against the "big girls on the second floor" (whom they call "gar-girls," a name they get from mishearing the word "gargoyle"), as well as against the home's "real orphans," the children whose parents have died. They share a fascination with Maggie, the old, sandy-colored woman "with legs like parentheses" who works in the home's kitchen and who can't…

Although they were all so different, they were as close as sisters. Bea Arthur played the sarcastic and wry Dorothy Zbornak, who spoke with a deep voice and stood at a staggering 5 foot 10. She always had a smart remark to say about anything and anyone. Betty White played Rose Nylund, the carefree blonde from St. Olaf with a heart of gold. Rose, to put it bluntly, wasn't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed and you had better believe Dorothy had lots to say about that! Also, there was Sophia Petrillo, played by Estelle Getty. She was the 82 year-old, 4 foot 11 Italian biological mother of Dorothy and surrogate mother of the rest of the girls. Last but certainly not least we have Blanche Devereaux, played by Rue McClanahan. Blanche, to once again put it bluntly, was the slut. The youngest one of the bunch, she forever had men on the mind, and almost as frequently had men in her boudoir! Obviously, these four characters all embody an extreme. However, everyone has part of one or all of The Golden Girls in…
