Charles Manson Psychological Disorder
Charles Manson has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and paranoid delusional behavior.He has a very manipulative and controlling personality.He believed that the Beatles song Helter Skelter predicted a race war in America He reinforced this idea using the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr as proof

His signature behavior was that with every murder he orchestrated it was to try and start the race war he had said was predicted.Every victim was an upper class person in California. The words “War”, “Pig”, “Political Pig”, and a panther paw, the symbol of the Black Panthers, were written and drawn with the blood of the victims.

During his first year there his wife gave birth to their son which the named Charles Manson Jr. Manson’s Mother moved in with his wife and the both visited him with his son. Before a parole hearing Manson’s mother told him that his wife started to live with another man and Manson’ tried to steal a car to escape. He was stopped, he was then denied parole and was given five years of probation.

In the September of 1958 he divorced his wife. By november he had taking the job of pimping a 16 year old girl and living of of the money of another girl’s wealthy parents. In 1959 he was charged with trying to forge money. He was given a 10 year suspended sentence though after a girl being charged with prostitution said that she would marry Manson if he was let go. He and the woman, Leona, did get married and he took her and another prostitute to New Mexico. He was questioned later for violating the Mann Act, in which afterward disappeared and was found and sent back to Los Angeles for violating his

The main murders were the Tate and LaBianca murders People think that there might have been more murders than these but these were the ones that got the most attention. The Tate murders were of Sharon Tate, Jay Sebring, Abigail Folger, and Wojciech Frykowski, and Steven Parent.. The LaBianca Murders were of Leno LaBianca and his wife, Rosemary
The trial began June 15, 1970. Even though he himself didn’t kill anyone he was still charged with several counts of murder because of his role orchestrating the killings
Manson was originally allowed to be his own attorney, but it was revoked because of the submission of "outlandish" and "nonsensical" pretrial motions. During the last part of the trial Manson shaved his head and trimmed his beard to a fork and told the press, "I am the Devil, and the Devil always has a bald head.". He was convicted and sentenced to death, but California abolished usage of the death penalty shortly after, so he then had to serve a life sentence.

In August of 1969, he managed to bring together a group of people which were from a portion of society that no one would seem to associate with the horrendous murders of Sharon Tate, Jay Sebring, Abigail Folger, Voytek Frykowski, Steven Parent, Rosemary LaBianca, and Leno LaBianca. This group which Manson formed was known simply as “The Family.” Some called him a madman, some called him a genius, other called him a nightmare but, no matter what they called him, Charles Manson has never been ignored. The question that beckons an answer is, why? How could this little man become a larger than life icon and how could so many of those never expected to commit these crimes allow themselves to become the pawns in this maniacal man's skewed chess game? That is what we will attempt to explore. We will do this by first attempting to understand the man, Charles Manson. Secondly, we will look at one of the stages of group/team development and investigate the era in which this nightmare of society was beginning to unleash his hellish form of vengeance.
