Characteristics Of Odysseus As A Great Leader

Odysseus was a great man as the story put it. He showed a lot of traits, great traits. He shows them in very different ways. He is a great leader, he made sure his men weren’t doing all the work. Odysseus was Great at everything he has done. He gets what he wants done too. He made sure he was taking just as many risks as them. He sometimes even put himself into more danger than his men. Like he could have had one of his men walk up and give the “one eyed beast” the wine, but instead he did it. He walked up there and gave it to the cyclops himself, as a leader.
Another episode in the story he had them tie him up to the mast of the boat with his ears unplugged, while they plugged their ears and rowed past the sirens while he had to listen to them sing. Another episode is when he made sure that all his men were safely out of the cave before him he was the last one to leave the cave. He was a great leader, he showed other traits as well but we picked leadership because he showed great leadership through the story.
He wanted as many of his men as possible to return home with him. So, he acted with intellect and leadership to make that happen. But his men made it to where none of the returned home because they didn’t act with intellect or listen to Odysseus who was the leader,
Odysseus was very upset that he lost all his men yet he kept moving forward. He didn’t let it hold him back, because he was still a leader to everyone on the Island Ithaca. He wanted to get back to his thrown. Odysseus then had to show restraint. He showed his courage and physical strength
