Characteristics Of An Effective Manager

Managers play a huge role in any organization and/or agency. Effective managers bring many things to the organization and/or agencies they work for. Manager’s command, control, organize, plan, and coordinate, this is why every manager especially an effective manager should posses certain qualities or characteristics, which are as follows:
Motivation- Managers should be self motivating. Self-motivating managers easily motivate their subordinates to improve their productivity and/or performance.
Positive attitude- managers need to have positive attitudes in order to keep up with their grueling tasks. Managers with positive attitudes have subordinates with positive attitudes, which make for a good work environment.
Trustworthy- It is essential for managers to be trustworthy. Employees nee to know that what they say to their supervisor is not going too talked about with other employees behind their backs. Being trustworthy is also an ethical and moral issue.
Knowledgeable- Managers need to know how the organization is supposed to function. They also know what it takes to get employees to perform at their optimum level so that the organization function at it’s best.
Customer Service- Effective managers have great customer service skills. They know how and what it takes for the organization to meet their clients/customers needs to the best of the organizations ability.
Organization- Being well organized is an absolute must. Managers have so much responsibility that if they are not well organized the organization is not going to function properly. Effective managers have the ability to oversee their subordinate’s activities and use their knowledge to make improvements where they are needed.
Vision- Effective managers are enthusiastic about the organizations future. They also have the ability to get their employees to be enthusiastic enough to perform to the best of their abilities.
Communication- All managers need to have excellent communication skills. Effective
