Dan is a character from the book Watchman who carried on the name of a crime-fighter known as Nite Owl. He relies on technology and gadgets he has created in order to fulfil the heroic figure he is known as. Dan’s costume, weapons, and flying ship all revolves around an owl theme. He was not born with extraordinary power’s nor was he destined to live the life of a hero, which makes him different from his fellow vigilantes. Nite Owl claims his love for crime-fighting as a “school kids fantasy that got out of hand”. Dan is a human who chose his path as the nite owl, which was made possible by the money he inherited from his father. The money he inherited from his father abled him create his costume and amenities. Growing up Dan found vast interest
