Character Analysis: Tangerine
In the book Tangerine, how did Erik Fisher’s choice have an effect on Paul? Was it good for Paul? Well, for the second question the answer would be no. Erik’s choices impact Paul by Paul despising Erik, Paul feeling ignored by his parents, and Paul not able to have his friends over. First of all, a minor problem caused by one of Erik’s choices would be that Paul can't have his friends over at his house. The reason for this is because of when Erik hit Tino in the face on page 205 . Erik did so because of an escalating argument between Tino and him. After the incident, Paul got angry at Erik for what he did, and also feels bad for Tino because he got hit in the face. Secondly, another effect of Erik’s choices would be Paul feeling ignored

For example, “Suddenly I felt the hot breath of a predator on my neck. I screamed in terror. Erik laughed and ran over to Mom and Dad” (Bloor 168).
