Selena started singing when she was only 3 years old! She was Mexican- American,she was born on April 16,1971, in Lake Jackson, Texas. She didnt know how to speak or write in spanish.Her father taught her how to sing in spanish,but she learned the lyrics phonetically at first,eventually she spoke spanish fluently.
