Character Analysis Of Tommy In Gryphon
In the short story “Gryphon” by Charles Baxter main character is Tommy. Tommy is a student that goes to 5 oaks elementary school in Detroit Michigan. When the teacher Mr. Hibler gets sick from a cough a new teacher comes with named Miss. Ferenczi comes in. she drives a rusty old green car and always puts her hair in a different way every day. Tommy is always telling lies to make the kids are not picking on her at recess. There are many reasons why Tommy protect’s Miss. Ferenczi. One reason that I believe that Tommy protects Miss. Ferenczi is Tommy like interesting things when Miss Ferenczi ate raw spinach and smoked sturgeon from her lunch box. Also she stayed in the classroom instead of going to the teacher's lounge to eat her food. (pg.
