Renfield – My Story
Renfeild slides silently through the still white door way, pushing the door gently. He scans the room with his bloodshot, animalistic eyes. He spots the breathing white mass. Bennet. His heart beats faster, to a racing pace. His mouth waters with hunger. The deathly shudder, trilling up his crooked spine. He slips in the room and softly closes the door behind him. He locks it faces Bennet. “Asleep again Bennet?” Renfield thought. “It does not matter. He will soon be in sleep he will never wake from, forever trapped in darkness. Like me. Like lonely Renfield.” He approached him softly, as if Renfield was floating along the ground in a corroded mist. Renfields fists start to clench, tighter and tighter, the rage spreading like a cancer. The hunger, manifesting itself like a demon. Suddenly, Bennet tosses and turns. Time stops. Renfield freezes. His breath, held as if under a sea of repression. The beads of sweat, trickling down his deranged forehead. He needed to act. Fast. He reached for his back pocket, fondling for his desired tool. He withdraws a sharp object. A knife. A surgery knife. The impulsive fire, burning strong in his heart. With murderous intent, he lunges towards Bennet, and clasps his hands over his mouth. Bennet awakes, bewildered and blindly panicking. He stares into the blood-red eyes of Renfield. The animalistic fire in his eyes, burning strong, makes Bennet cry out with terror. The muffled screams growing ever louder. Renfield draws closer to Bennets face and whispers in his ear. “I told you Bennet. I told you.” Bennet stops screaming and looks into the eyes of Renfield again. They are now a crimson colour, but are as still as death. “Life is blood. And blood is life. But did anyone listen to Renfield? Crazy little Renfield? No” Renfield’s voice turns into a low snarl. “Life is blood. And blood is life” Renfield voice starts to boom like an explosion.” And life I shall have!” Renfield shrieks menacingly and hacked the...
