Police Ranking The PNP conducts regular recruitment programs, depending on annual budget allocation. The entry level for non-commissioned officers is the rank of PO1 (Police Officer 1). The new recruits undergo Police Basic Recruit Course for six months and a Field Training Program for another six months prior to deployment to various units. Officers for the Philippine National Police are sourced from the Philippine National Police Academy as well as through Lateral Entry, for specialized disciplines and requirement such as doctors, engineers and other technical positions. The Philippine National Police Academy is located at Camp Gen. Mariano N. Castaneda, Silang, Cavite and is the premier training academy for the PNP, BJMP, and BFP. That will vary from the department. Some have corporals, who are the senior person on each shift. From there it goes to Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, Major, Colonel and Chief.

Record Keeping The maintenance in a history of one’s activities, as financial dealings, by entering data in ledgers or journals, putting documents in files. The recording of diagnostics, result, learning style questionnaire and academic work allows a tutor to inform a client of their progression and where and how their learning and performance can be improved and identify a client’s aptitude and ability for a particular learning style. Continuous maintenance and regular review of these records is vital to evaluate a client’s progression and provide positive encouragement and direction. These records provide a means to recognize further learning and development requirements and aid in the structure of assignments which are challenging but achievable, accommodating client’s specific learning abilities and meeting the clients’ expectations and aspirations.
