Chapter I 1. Introduction

There are some school and companies that still using manual procedure in their system due to the price of a system and lack of knowledge in making a system.

The problem to the said school is their way of using manual procedure in inputting details about their students. The Proponents of Datamex Institute of Computer Technology Camarin Branch wants to make changes to Sagrada Familia School of Caloocan Inc. by making a system that will benefit them.

1.1 Background of the problem

➢ History

Sagrada Familia of Caloocan Inc. was founded on 1998 by a Catholic couple, Mr. Felix Boquiren II and Mrs. Dominga Aragon-Boquiren. Sagrada Familia School of Caloocan Inc. was only a Nursery/Pre-School when it was first established until the year of 2000. In school year 2000-2001, they add grade 1 in elementary level, and every year they added grade level until they completed the elementary level. In School year 2007-2008, Sagrada Familia School of Caloocan Inc. established High School Level The first batch graduated on May 2010. Until now, SFSCI continues giving a mental, physical, spiritual and moral capability to all students of it.

➢ Mission Sagrada Familia School of Caloocan Inc. will provide students with the essential skills and knowledge that enable them to develop as individual learners-intellectually, socially, physically and emotionally. Our teachers, staff, students and families will work together as partners to encourage a love of learning and achievement in a safe, nurturing environment where everyone respects and values themselves and others for their individuality. At Sagrada Familia School of Caloocan Inc., teaching and larning is paramount.

➢ Vision Sagrada Familia School of Caloocan Inc. will be a community of excellence fostering our children’s journey to future of limitless possibilities.
