Display Devices
• Monochrome means the information appears in one color (such as white, amber,
• green, black, blue, or gray) on a different color background (such as black or grayish-white).
• Some mobile devices use monochrome displays because they require less battery power.
• Two types of display devices are flat-panel displays and CRT monitors.
• A flat-panel display is a lightweight display device with a shallow depth and flat screen that typically uses LCD (liquid crystal display) or gas plasma technology.
• Types of flat-panel displays include LCD monitors, LCD screens, and plasma monitors.
