Changes In The Giver By Lois Lowlry
Ever wonder what it would be if there were community’s where rules have to be followed or we get released or killed. Jonas knows then rebels against all of the rules and leaves the community with a little kid that was going to get released. The main character, Jonas, changes when he stops following the rules and starts receiving memories in the book The Giver by: Lois Lowlry.

For example, in the beginning of the book Jonas was a big rule follower he used all the correct language such as not being allowed to say released without getting scolded Jonas used released once messing with a friend and was taken over to the side (Lowlry 3). He also took the pill then towards the end of the book he stopped taking the pill. Towards the beginning of

    In the book they made small changes to certain things that affected the mood of the story. First they changed the daily pill to a injection, this made it harder for Jonas to avoid taking it because he had to put its blood on the apple and scan the apple without being caught. Another change is that Jonas, Fiona and Asher were all 16 in the movie instead of 12. This made the characters maturer and that the relationships made more sense.
