Change Of Jonas In The Giver By Lois Lowry
Many people change, but Jonas has changed more than a lot of people in such a short amount of time. Jonas has changed many times in the book The Giver by Lois Lowry, but there are three examples that are the biggest changes. The first example of Jonas changing a lot is on page 85 when Jonas says, “‘I´m brave. I really am.’” In the beginning of the book Jonas was scared when he got picketed to be The Giver. He was so scared to be The Giver because he had never felt that much pain, but now Jonas feels brave after receiving a few memories and facing pain. Jonas never would have called himself brave in the beginning of the book.Because of Jonas receiving memories, he has become more brave than he use to be. The next example of Jonas changing is

    In the book they made small changes to certain things that affected the mood of the story. First they changed the daily pill to a injection, this made it harder for Jonas to avoid taking it because he had to put its blood on the apple and scan the apple without being caught. Another change is that Jonas, Fiona and Asher were all 16 in the movie instead of 12. This made the characters maturer and that the relationships made more sense.     The capability of the memories are so powerful that Jonas experienced how they felt and he could actually sense them.
