Introduction
English is thought to be one of the most important languages in the world. There are many reasons why English is so important. One of the reasons is that English is spoken as the first language in many countries. There are different kinds of English like British English, Canadian English and American English. In many cases the language is difficult or not correctly learned or spoken, the motivation in being eager to learn and teach English as a second language is identified mostly in disadvantaged areas where it is caused by several things; lack of facilities for example being one of them. Unqualified Teachers
This is the first and mostly ignored problem. What makes this problem the most dangerous is the fact that such communities scarcely can really tell who a good English teacher is since they are all learners of the language. Whatever the teacher says, correct or incorrect, will be taken as correct by the learner. This has led to a lot of confusion among learners because different teachers tell them different things. These differences result from the fact that most of the teachers also suffer the problem of translation from their local languages to English.
Poor Learning Environment
When we say poor learning environment, we are not talking about the weather condition, availability of furniture in the classrooms or the location of the school. All the mentioned situations can affect learning in general. But as we talk about English Language specifically, we can talk about outside-the-class learning aids. In most cases, students make effort to speak good English only in the classroom and under supervision. Students don’t always hear people around them speaking good English. These reduce their ability to learn English in the right manner.
Teaching pronunciation and translation
The first and fore most thing is that teachers should be conscious of their own pronunciation. One of the biggest difficulties teachers faces when teaching English as a
