1. Describe the sector. What has been changing in the last three years? Technology sector is changing at a really fast pace compared to any other. It is changing at an exponential rate. In the last three years, many changes have happened in the sector. The technology for personal devices is changing. Mobiles and tablets are replacing desktops. Mouse is giving way to touchscreens. Tablets, iPads sales increased and touchscreen laptops have been introduced. To make it easy for end user to interact with devices, new input methods are being implemented. Since Apple revolutionized touch gesture for devices with its iPhone, human gestures have taken primary focus for enabling interaction with devices. Spatial gestures enabled Microsoft's Kinect is one such example, which is being used with Xbox for enhancing the gaming experience. In the quest of finding new input methods wearable technology has started evolving. Google glass, which has an in-built camera can take pictures with just a wink of your eye. Wearable device in the form of a ring is the smallest device in this race. “Fin” has developed such a ring, which can use gestures of thumb to control other smart devices around us.
