Cerebral Palsy: A Career As A Nurse
Nursing was never my actual degree of choice, but the experiences I have had with nurses is what made me feel the desire of becoming a nurse. No one understands what a nurse actually does until you or a family member becomes a patient. I started to gain interest when my sister with Cerebral Palsy kept getting hospitalized for different complications such as chronic pancreatitis and gastrointestinal complications. During her stays at the hospital I got the privilege to meet many bright nurses who made the biggest difference in not only my sisters life, but in my whole families life as well. One nurse in particular though is who has made the biggest impact on me wanting to be a nurse.

    Why I Want to Be a Nurse

    I would love to be a nurse someday because it has many attractive qualities. The qualities that accompany The field of nursing and which i consider essential to me include the scientific aspect to method, being an active member of the health care team, and becoming a patient advocate. When I was thirteen, I saw all different kinds of people in poverty, may it be infants, children, elderly people and even disabled people.
