I. COMPANY OVERVIEW A.) PRODUCTS / SERVICES Century hotel offers a decent variety of services given that it is one of the relatively known properties within the Pampanga area. The hotel gets most of its revenue from the functions or events being held at the hotel, restaurant operations, and the selling of rooms. They also get a majority of their earnings due to their convenient location of being right beside Casino Filipino, and a number of local attractions. Recent renovations of the rooms on the second floor are underway, as well as the functions halls. However, management does not seem to look into other areas that would increase their potential for gaining greater revenue. Examples of such are the possible addition of more restaurant outlets and an on-site complex attraction, renovation of the business center, function rooms, and the like. Facilities and services not available for guests are the following: 24 hour room service, valet service, salon, smoking area, bicycle rental, executive floor, and a poolside bar. In terms of sports and recreation, the following are not available: fitness center, golf center (on-site), indoor pool, game room, Jacuzzi, and spa facilities (i.e: sauna, steam room). B.) BRIEF EXPLANATION: NATURE OF BUSINESS & TARGET MARKET The hospitality industry is considered as one of the top industries bursting with opportunities at a global scale. The Philippine hospitality scene is not far behind from this worldwide trend with the advent of hotels, both local and international, sprouting up at different areas within the country. Being a business hotel, Century has to come up with constant promotions and innovations that would bring more revenue to their property.
