Personal strengths that could help me to succeed in this placement would be listening and communication. In my opinion, listening plays an important role in this environment, listening to their stories and problems will help me built the trust. Which leads to a great understanding of the kids and building up the relationship. However, communication is also very important in this placement. Connecting with the kids and knowing their likes and dislikes will help the members to provide meaningful activities to improve their QOL.

Professional knowledge, skills, and abilities I bring to this settings are to provide meaningful activities, educate coping strategies, provide adaptive skills, and learn the strengths. I will be providing a meaningful activity to this setting for children with behavioral and emotional difficulties to improve QOL. I will be teaching kids adaptive skills to cope with problems that they are experiencing in their lives. Such as problem solving skills and stress coping strategies.
