Censorship is a unique term. Some synonyms are suppress, eradicate, destroy. One term that the definition of censorship uses most is remove which means to “move or shift to another place or position” (Dictionary.com). Anyone can move objects such as books, utilities, etc., people can carry with their own strength, to a place where they want to put it. Censor is quite different because it can be a group or one person “who examines books, movies, etc., and removes things that are considered to be offensive, immoral, harmful to society, etc.” (Merriam-Webster).
