How to create An account on Academic Web Site
Step 1: Go to the following link
Step 2: check your academic mail which is in your inbox.
Then write Cisco ID and password in academic website. (Note: Do not copy past)
Step 3: Update your profile on Cisco Academy site as shown below.
Step 4: Click on Yes, I am at least 18 years old.
Step 5: After successful completion of all steps accept the agreement.
And your Cisco Academy ID will be created.
Installation of Packet Tracer
Step 1: Double click on the “Packet Tracer .exe” file and start the setup by clicking NEXT.
Step 2: Click on I ACCEPT THE AGREEMENT and then NEXT
Step 3: Click NEXT to continue the Installation process
Step 4: Again click on NEXT
Step 5: Click on INSTALL to start the Installation
Step 6: Click FINISH to start the Packet Tracer wizard

Address Resolution Protocol (ARP)
Assign IP address to all devices and then Ping from PC0 to Server0. As Switch have no MAC table so Switch will broadcast ARP request to get MAC addresses of connected devices as shown below:
Click on the Switch PDU which shows that Switch broadcast the ARP request with the broadcast MAC address ffff.ffff.ffff, as shown in the following figure:
After the broadcast, Server will reply of ARP request to the user from which it was created. And after the successful ARP, ICMP will take place. As sown in the following figure:
Domain Name Server (DNS)
Create a Topology as shown in the following figure:
Assign IP addresses on Servers and PCs as below:
DNS Server (IP address 10.0.0.10 Subnet Mask 255.0.0.0)
Web Browser Server (IP address 10.0.0.20 Subnet Mask 255.0.0.0 DNS Server 10.0.0.10) Laptop 0 (IP address 10.0.0.1 Subnet Mask 255.0.0.0 and DNS 10.0.0.10) Laptop 1 (address 10.0.0.2 Subnet Mask 255.0.0.0 and DNS 10.0.0.10)
Now click on the DNS Server and configure it with the following setting:
Go on Laptop 0 web browser and write google.com. It successfully opens the requested application. As shown below:
Also check simulation Mode: First of all request will go to DNS server and after the successful DNS, HTTP request will be processed.
Check the PDU of DNS Server by clicking on the DNS as shown below:
