Since 2003 the U.S. Customs and Border Protection(CBP) has been built up and has established itself as a prominent part of the executive branch (U.S. Customs and Border Protection). The CBP branches from the Department of Homeland Security and has taken in more attention due to the amounts of immigrants coming into America. In the current debate there has been much talk of how to control immigration, so the CBP is getting a lot of attention, and will be greatly affected by whoevers policies are put into place from whichever candidate.
