Causes and Effects of a Happy Life

How many people with truly happy life do you know? Are you even sure of these? All people dream about happy life. When we think of happy life, we imagine that happiness is an inevitable side effect. We may envision ourselves with the perfect job, the perfect children, the perfect mate, the perfect level of income, big house, expensive car and other things. Moreover, we believe that all of that stuff will make us happy. However, that view is skewed. Material objects cannot make us happy. These are three common causes that can effect on your happy life: good health, love and have enough money for a living.

First of all, the most important part of a happy life is health. If you are healthy you are able to work and make money, and have the things you want. On the other hand, when you are not healthy, you can’t fulfill your dreams. Also, when your health does not permit to work anymore, you lost the earning potential and to make it worst, you became a liability to your family and to the society too. It becomes a suffering in your life. Moreover, our health is our everything. Whether you are a toddler, a child, a teenager or an adult; good health enables you to perform the daily functions of life. For example, for students normal health allows them to able to go to school, to obtain knowledge and the building of character. For adults, good health means you can go to work everyday, to earn a living, to be able to achieve your goals in life. Good health enables you to enjoy a happy life.

The second valuable factor of a happy life is love. When family members have a love to each other, their life can be easier and happier. For example, when family has a love to each other, they can have open communication. Also, they can share feelings, emotions, work place problem and ideas with each other. It is only if both the spouses are aware of the ideals and thoughts of each other are there a probability of having a happy life.

Health is the ability of an individual to function well physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually to be able to demonstrate the full range of one’s “unique potentialities within the environment in which one is living” (Farlex, 2013). People seem to struggle most with finding and maintaining happiness in their lives, mostly because they do not understand what happiness is. They assume happiness is a concrete destination. Little do they realize that you can find happiness in what you already have, no matter the situation. Some think that the only way to be happy is to remove all things negative out of their life, but one should not let their happiness be controlled by something they themselves cannot control. When things do not go exactly as expected, that does not mean everything has gone wrong, or that the world has turned against you. Problems will always be present in life, so it is better to accept their presence, allowing you to accept your life as is, which…

It’s often a misconception that in order to find happiness you must have the approval of others or loads of money or a beautiful face. In a way all of those thing can add to one's overall happiness but, most of the time in the midsts of trying to achieve these things we wind up making ourselves miserable. What you think is happiness is really just the acceptance of someone who doesn't really care. “Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind” (Geisel). Most who would read that statement would look over it as a cheesy piece of advice and not give it a second thought,…

What is happiness? Marketing and media have brainwashed people’s brain into believing that happiness means to own possessions such as cars, big houses, or brand new devices among others. Unfortunately, this overstated fable is far from real. In fact, most people misunderstand that happiness is a choice that lies inside them. Weather to be happy or not, is up to any individual to choose as they please. Namely, true happiness is no more than a positive attitude, a good healthy habit, and life meaning.…

It is often said that, the people who are happiest don't focus on their own happiness instead they would rather focus their happiness on other people. The general argument made by Mills is that happiness is more of something people focus on, However, happiness is not something you have to focus on but rather should happen naturally and to be not forced upon. Happiness is something that comes naturally true happiness cannot be forced upon and you have to be willing to take in the happiness. People concentrate more on others happy traits and will try to go upon that person's happiness but everyone is different and unique and it may come out like something you didn't expect or even a bad outcome.…

I really appreciate how Tal Ben-Shahar points out that there is no definite definition to happiness, and that we should focus less on how to be happy, but how to be happier. Happiness is seen as the end goal, something that is the drive for many of the things we do. Taking smaller steps every day that we can stick to is much more productive in becoming happier than making huge changes that we can’t keep up with. If we all just spent a small part of our day every day focusing on happiness, we’d all be happier people. I think that most people, myself included, don’t really think about happiness. We just go through our daily lives and do the things we have to do. The topic of happiness is a more subconscious thing. It’s not something we actively…

What is happiness? Is it to have money? Is it to stay with the one you loved? All of them can be happiness up to different people with different thought. According to Charissa Newark’s article she thought that happiness was to have a boyfriend, being pretty, having friends, etc. Then she stopped, she thought that she has to start thinking like an adult. Later she thinks about it again, then she said “Happiness is being comfortable with your own skin, being surrounded with people you you truly care about, and have a good amount of wisdom.” I agree with Ms Newark. It’s such a simple wants, but it’s could really give you happiness.…

Our definition of happiness is very much influenced by the kind of society we live or grew up in, our life experiences, goals we pursue in life and our level of education. This is why the topic (happiness) is very controversial because it’s hard to change people’s beliefs. I think though that happiness depends on other things like family and friends, doing the things you love, etc., and not money or material things. Having people around you who love you unconditionally, share your beliefs, culture, are social, and care for each other is a recipe for happiness. Likewise, playing a sport you are passionate about (soccer, basketball, pool, dancing, and so forth) or meditating has brought happiness to some people as well. “The chemical…

What does it mean to be truly happy? This is a complex question to which different people most likely have very different answers. There are so many different factors included in true happiness. Certain people may say that they need security and stability to be happy. Some are only happy when they are successful. Others would say their family or friends are what make them happy. To me, the most important ingredient of happiness is simply connection to other people. Without this, I believe that true happiness is impossible.…
