School shootings are often caused by mental disease, the culture of violence, and bullying. Sandy Hook Elementary, Virginia Tech, and Columbine High School are a few examples of school shootings that have affected millions of people. In 2012, Adam Lanza shot 27 people and then took his own life at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. Armed with a semi-automatic rifle he entered the campus. In a matter of minutes, Lanza managed to affect thousands of lives. He took the lives of students, staff, and his own mother. Lanza had refused medicine for Persuasive Development Disorder, Asperger's, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and sensory issues. During the investigation that took place after the shooting, police recovered videos and games affiliated with school shootings. The games and videos combined with his lack of medical treatment could have led him to believe that is was socially acceptable. In either situation Lanza was not forced to take medicine or be admitted to a psychiatric unit and the Sandy Hook shooting was a result of that. Lives were lost to a man who there is no explanation for. On April 16th, 2007, Seung-Hui Cho murdered 32 people on the Virginia Tech college campus. Cho, the armed perpetrator, arrived on the Virginia Tech campus with multiple pistols. Cho sent a video of himself with his guns to NBC News and explained why he was going to commit a mass killing. He claimed that "rich brats" were bullying him. Not only did he send a video to NBC News, but he also left a suicide note in his dorm room. Cho knew that if he didn't kill himself, he would go to prison or be killed by someone else, so he took his own life along with many

Adam showed an interest in violent video games. Have Adam not seen the violent video games there would have been a good chance that Adam may have not shot up the school. In america it is extremely easy to purchase firearms because of the second amendment. Adam's mother was said to have around 4 firearms in the house at the time. If Adam's mother have had a safe with a lock on the firearms or if there were stricter firearm laws Adam would have never been able to acquire one to shoot the school. Since the guns were easily accessible Adam Lanza succeeded in killing his mother and 26 other students. It was also reported that in the town (New Town) that Adam was living in at the time there were many gun owners influencing the society to also have/use guns. One problem that may have caused Adam to do what he did was enrolling Adam in the I.E.P program. This is believed to be a problem because Adam was not exposed to other children as much not seeing the culture of other children. If Adam was part of a class with more children he may have changed his…
