Cats vs Dogs
Cats vs. Dogs

Many people own both a cat and a dog and love them both. Then you have people who would only have a dog or a cat, not both. If you had to choose between one or the other, which one would it be? Cats are very cuddling and have a soft purr that tends to put people to sleep. Dogs on the other hand, lick during the night. Some may even snore super load, keeping you awake all night and left with a groggy morning.
Cats are sweet, cute, furry and cuddly. They are the most beautiful creatures and they have the most mesmerizing eyes. You can leave cats alone in a house for days and they will take care of themselves. They are independent and loving at the same time. Most commonly, dogs will trash your house when you leave them alone for just a few hours. To think, if you wanted to go on vacation you would have to pay big money to put dogs in a kennel for the week. Dogs are dependable animals. Having to let them out on a regular basis can be a hassle, especially if you work a full time job and are attending school. Dogs need humans to show them companionship. They also have

very big personalities. Getting attached too easily and having their feelings hurt can happen very fast.
Cats are less maintenance financially. They can have a food dish sitting out all day and make it last, where a dog eats two to three portions and will still beg for more with their convincing puppy eyes. Another difference between cats and dogs is when they give birth. They both tend to birth the same way by cleaning the litter and caring for them. A dog will actually let you touch her puppies with maybe just a small growl. You go to play with the cat’s kittens, they will be gone the next time you go to see them as the mother cat will hide them in strange places, as behind your washing machine and sometimes even in a garbage can. Having kittens hid on you by their mommy cat happens all the time. For instance, when I volunteered to take a mom cat and

For the years that we have been living we all have come to realize that dogs are more trainable than cats. Canines have been trained to care for their owners, fetch news papers and some are trained as watch dogs for the blind. Others are close in social status to a Deputy – sometimes referred to as Deputy Dogs. This is pretty remarkable to think that we have dogs that are capable of recognizing and, attacking criminals, identifying drugs and placing criminals under arrest. In most cases we have dogs that are trained to be remarkable house dogs. Dogs have been trained over the years to perform entertaining tricks such as, roll over, fetch, shake hand and even play dead. There are many dogs which have developed bad habits. Special attention and training programs have been developed to assist dogs in shaking these bad habits. These bad habits include, biting, chewing on furniture and rugs, digging holes, barking consistently without apparent reason and most of all, house soiling. Cats on the other hand belong to the feline family and are not as trainable as dogs. There is just a significant limit to their training. Yes they are able to be home trained - to prevent house soiling, but to prevent them from damaging your furniture with their claws, you basically have to clip the claws. When cats are kept as pets, they become attached to their human…

To begin with, the reason why cats are more desirable is: cats are independent and can be left unaided. Alex Libber’s article from December 10th, 2014 on petplace.com states,”But because a cat is more independent, they can be left alone for longer periods of time. Although a cat will miss you, she doesn’t depend on you to be home right at 5 p.m. for a walk. If you go for longer periods, your cat will do well with a house sitter, but she can also get by without someone feeding and checking up on her twice a day.” This shows cats are independent creatures and can be left home alone. Clearly, cats are perfectly well off being home alone, while dogs are not. Dogs need you or a house sitter to feed, walk, and take care of them.…

Another difference is space. Cats don’t take up nearly as much space as dogs. They also don’t need a yard to run around in, and they are pretty self sufficient. You can find plenty of cat climbing trees at your local pet store to keep your cat amused. Dogs on the other hand make a lot of noise barking, and enjoy running around in an open space playing fetch.…

I read the article “Cats are funnier than Dogs”, written by Jesse David Fox. In this article, Jesse gave an idea that cats are more humorous and explained her opinion. The “funny” or “humorous” is based on cat’s characteristics. Cat is more self-centered. Different from other pets or animals, they think themselves are nobler and not willing to be demeaned. Therefore, cats are not very willing to obey order like dogs and making choice brilliantly and cleverly. For instance, Jesse said cats knew how to run away by flushing the toilet. Comparing with cats, Dogs are more loyal, obedient and friendly. They more like you friends and even your part of family. Because they listen to you and actually care about you. I have two dogs and my sister have…

Many videos on the internet have shown dogs doing various tasks and chores, whether it was taking out the trash, bringing in groceries, entertaining an infant while the parent went to go fetch something, or something as simple as creating a warm atmosphere for guests. People can choose what type of dog will live with, either a guard dog or a family dog. Both are equally loveable. Dogs can be trained how to attack and when to attack people who cause a disturbance to their home or their family. They can learn how to fend off dangerous people at moment’s notice. At most cases, the dog will already be at the scene of the crime before the owner can get out to see what is going on. Cats, however, are very lazy. They will sense danger and either do nothing or flee if the danger is targeting them. Of course, cats can be trained to kill of mice and rats at home, but an easy way to avoid rodents is to have a clean house and always remove trash when it is built up. The only thing cats can be trained for it to use a litter box for their bowel movements, be classical conditioned to know when their meals are ready and when to sit on their owner’s lap. Cats only let themselves be trained for their benefit, not to…
