Cato's Tributes: A Narrative Fiction
You were already half dead. The Careers were hunting you down like the animalistic monsters they were. Cato was angry at you as you had scored a little higher than him in the tests much to your dismay, that was enough to give you a death sentence. Not to forget the headache you were enduring.

Peeta Mellark, your district partner was nowhere to be found, but he was alive. His cannon hadn't gone off yet so he had to be alive. You had heard that he had allied himself with the Career pack. This was strange as District 12 never made allies with District 1,2 or 4. "Attention Tributes, there has been a rule change which allows two people from the same district to win as victors," the Gamemakers announced. You had to find Peeta fast. You could both

I won't leave you alone so just stop saying my name" you replied.
"Why?" He asked.
"Why what?" you questioned.
"Why won't you leave me to die peacefully here?" he asked.

You looked at everything but him. You turned to face him and smiled. "Come on, we are going to get you to someplace safe," you said. "You're avoiding the question, [Name]," he responded. You managed to help Peeta, to his feet and move him into the cave where you can hide him and care for him properly. "Peeta, how are you feeling now?" You asked. You checked his leg for a second time. "I'm fine but are you okay? You seem a bit shaken," he replied.
"I'm just fine, Peeta, honestly. You're the one with the injury," you stated.
"I'm fine too," he replied. "They won't be able to find you here," you responded.
"They already found me," Peeta said. You looked at his leg. "If only I could get you some sort of medicine," you sighed. "I don't get many parachutes," he stated. "Don't worry, we'll figure something out," you replied. "Like what?" he asked.
"I don't know yet, but we will. I know we will, okay, get some rest," you answered. You kissed Peeta on the cheek. "Night, Peeta," you said before laying down on the

To complete the property tour, we looked at the bedroom, comfortably proportioned for a queen sized bed and a floor-to-ceiling closet with a large window facing Paolina Park. The attractive bathroom was functional and came equipped with all the essentials. Lastly, we looked at the garage. Maria Laura informed us that Italians refer to a garage as a “car box”. The car box was large enough to accommodate a mid-sized car, a workbench, and storage for tools and seasonal items. I was overjoyed…

The story of Catarino's death, the child narrator presents Catarino’s execution in a sympathetic tone with a “scorch of directness and absolute lack of elaboration” (Elena Poniatowska). The words “already begun” and “finally” connote that his execution has taken a very long time. It is slow and agonizing. Campobello states, “The crows had already begun to eat him when they finally let his remains be carted off” (17). The image Catarino being eaten by crows shows the evilness of his torturers and how his life was not…

"The Masque of the Red Death" can be seen as an allegory about death. In the story Prince Prospero tries to avoid the deadly plague by gathering some friends and going to “one of his castellated abbeys” (687). Abbeys are usually a place where monks and nuns in the religious life live. This could be interpreted to mean that when faced with death people seek out religious or spiritual sanctuary. The colors of the rooms are significant. That at the eastern extremity was hung, for example in blue—and vividly blue were its windows” (688). The writer progresses down corridors describing rooms of various colors until reaching the western or black chamber. The walk down the corridor, from east to west, seems to signify birth, life and death, similar…
