Casino
The film “Casino” was directed by Martin Scorsese in 1995. Scorsese is a very talented director that always finds a creative way to get the point of the film across to the viewers. The main character of Casino is Sam “Ace” Rothstein who is played by Robert De Niro. Some of the other main characters are Ginger who is Ace’s wife and Nicky, which is Ace’s childhood friend and formally known as his business partner. In the film Casino, Scorsese uses a creative strategy to show two things be Ace’s heaven and hell. When Ace is inside of his casino it is seen by many people to be his heaven. When he is seen outside of his casino or back at home where he grew up it is considered his hell.

Before Ace goes to Las Vegas to run the Tangiers Casino, he was a Sports gambler and a mob member. The reason Ace decides to go to Vegas is due to the amount of mobsters needing help in the Kansas where Ace is from. Ace never had a casino license the entire time he was running the casino, while he was waiting for his license to be validated he would change his job title every few mouths so he could continue to manage the casino while he was waiting for his license. Before any of aces profits are reported to the tax agencies, he splits money with the mafia member back in Kansas, that is ran in the back of a gas station in the middle of nowhere, that no one is aware of. Nicky, Ace’s best friend was always there to make sure Ace was always okay, he was kind of known as the enforcer, people know not to mess with him, and Nicky showed why people shouldn’t take advantage of him just because of his smaller size. In the beginning he was there to protect Ace’s business, but later became more of a liability then anything for the casino. Nicky’s attitude quickly got him banned from gamboling in the Tangier Casino, then later every casino in Las Vegas, after his name was put into the black book he was not wanted in Vegas at all.
