They have made advertisements waging product wars against Ivory in a stiff competition to take over the personal care market

Other companies that dove has been involved in product wars with are all the major players in the personal care industry Olay, Neutrogena, and Aveeno
This is an example of a product war because dove is implying that they produce a better product than ivory by comparing the quality of their products. In the video a test is conducted and proves that over a period of time ivory soap when tested with papers designed to behave like the surface of our skin stripped away within 5 minutes while the dove bar appeared to still be in the same condition as at the beginning. The lady in the video then implies that consumers should switch over to the dove brand because it is better for our skin then the leading competitor ivory. t alternatives to aid in solving the company’s major problems are that Winston Hao should market Datavast Inc’s new product, the Data Security Box towards larger companies instead of small to medium sized enterprises (SME’s), and also providing the SI’s with a profit margin of 20% as incentive to sell the Data Security Box.
