Todman exercised leadership relying on his ability to fully understanding the situation, analyzing problems faced and accordingly to make the right decisions. This appears clear when he leads Whirlpool to be survived in the financial crisis by completing the integration between Maytag and Whirlpool and focused more on revamping the product line to make the company more successful by closing costly plants and concentrated more in educating the entire staff on both companies before introducing the new models in order to achieve his clear vision and priorities in accessing global markets and ability to drive innovation. Moreover, he knows the important of communication between managers and workers by letting managers spend more time with the worker to exchange ideas and thoughts . Furthermore, he emphasizes on the important of understanding the customers and their needs by spending some times for the marketplace to visit the team as well as customers.

2. Todman has the following leadership roles:

1) Figurehead.
Todman as the president of whirlpool international, he emphasis on conducting social, ceremonial, and legal responsibilities through his approach to be straight, be honest tell people exactly what is going on. Todman also provides inspiration by sharing the mission and vision of the organization through setting the right priorities and running disciplined operations to deliver expected results and outcomes.

2) Coach and motivator.
He motivates employees to think in efficient way and according to the company mission and vision by knowing the company operations very well, strengths and weaknesses. In addition he encouraged the internal communication between managers and workers to improve the performance and operate the company effectively .

3) Strategic planner
In order to achieve the target outcomes and done the work in efficient way, he adopts changes that required in the workplace to achieve organization's plan through focusing on
